Deux: 3rd Draft, More ideas...

Hey, just blogging in to say that I finished the 3rd draft to my contest movie, "Getting Back The Brass". Just now, actually. So, I'm going to Borders soon to read some comic books and get ideas for certain shots, because I want it to be comic book-y. I think it has a shot of winning the contest, but who knows.

As for Project Invasion, I'm still jotting down ideas, I have a pretty awesome story lined up so far, I just got to organize everything (my notes are scattered) and then sit down and write them in more detail. Once I finish the script, I'll storyboard, get the costumes, location, and actors, and I'll make it!

So far both movies cost me: $0.

Oh yeah, and I'm getting my camera soon! Can't wait!

Uno: The Start!

Okay, I forget how I got the initial idea, but I've had this idea about a 3 movie (shorts) about an alien invasion. I hoped to have the 1st short about the first contact, the 2nd about fighting them (trying to, atleast), and the 3rd about finally defeating them (not the way its usually done, though). Then, I was going to put them all on a cool DVD with extras and stuff. I couldn't think of anything good for the 1st and 3rd. So, I scrapped it. Just recently though, I figured something. I'll just make the 2nd movie. I'll give info about the war at hand through a really cool way (for some reason I love the way I plan on explaining it) and I'll be able to make it for relatively nothing. Actors = friends / family. Props = got most, and the rest are very cheap. Location = I got what I need around me (I write knowing he locations I can use). Now, I'll just make a DVD with a couple of the shorts I'm going to make.

All I need to do is flesh out the script. I'll keep you posted.

Oh, and for every movie I make, I'm going to keep a tab on how much I spend.

Oh yeah, and I'm also making a short for a contest over at studentfilms.com (good site, check it out) which I'll keep a production cost diary for as well. That one should be basically nothing to make, because I have all I need right now (except for a few minor things.)
